Born in Montreal in 1952, Richard Long studied philosophy for 6 years. Later, he will leave his studies to devote himself to pictorial art. Since he was a child, Richard Long has been ecstatic about the beautiful objects that surround him.
Today, he paints these beautiful objects; elegant floral arrangements, vases filled with fruit, furniture of the Victorian era, etc. The colors are warm and the clair-obscur is present. He wants to "synthesize everything that came before and suggest new discoveries of his own".
His compositions are very sophisticated and let emerge a pleasant atmosphere.
